Online Tech Deploys OSPF Across it’s Michigan Data Centers

OSPF routing provides a common IP space across Online Tech’s 3 Michigan Data Centeers

Over the last several months Online Tech has deployed of OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) routing protocol across the network that spans it’s 3 Michigan data centers.

The net benefit to our customers is that they can keep a common IP address space should as they move across any of our data centers in Michigan.

It also simplifies disaster recovery fail over between two data centers . With a production environment in one of our Michigan data centers, and a disaster recovery stack in a second Michigan data center separated by 50 miles or more, fail over to the disaster recovery site is pretty straight forward when the IP addresses can be shared across the data centers.
